Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about our services, process, and expertise.

Working With Us

How does a typical project engagement start? +

Every project begins with a free discovery call where we learn about your business, challenges, and goals. After that, we conduct a deeper requirements analysis (typically 1–2 weeks) and deliver a proposal with scope, timeline, architecture approach, and cost estimate. There is no commitment until you approve the proposal.

Do you work with clients outside of Poland? +

Yes. While we are based in Warsaw, Poland, most of our clients are international. We work across time zones and communicate in English. Our processes are built for remote collaboration — daily async updates, bi-weekly video demos, and shared project dashboards.

What is your pricing model? +

We offer two models: fixed-price for well-defined projects where scope is clear, and time-and-materials for ongoing development or projects where requirements evolve. For most enterprise projects, we recommend starting with a fixed-price discovery phase, then transitioning to time-and-materials for development. We always provide cost estimates upfront.

How large is your team? +

We are a focused team of senior engineers, architects, and consultants. We deliberately stay lean to maintain quality. For larger projects, we scale by bringing in vetted specialists from our network — always under our technical leadership and quality standards.

What happens after the project is delivered? +

We offer ongoing support and maintenance packages that include bug fixes, security patches, performance monitoring, and feature enhancements. We also provide full documentation and knowledge transfer if you prefer to maintain the system with your internal team.

Software Development

What technologies do you use? +

We choose technologies based on your project requirements, not personal preferences. Our core expertise includes TypeScript/Node.js, Python, .NET, React, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). For AI/ML projects, we work with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and OpenAI APIs. We always document why specific technologies were chosen for your project.

How long does a typical project take? +

It depends on scope. A focused automation project might take 4–8 weeks. A full custom application typically takes 3–6 months for an initial release. Enterprise-wide digital transformation projects run 6–12+ months with phased delivery. We always deliver working software incrementally — you don't wait until the end to see results.

Do you build mobile apps? +

Yes. We build cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and Flutter, as well as native iOS and Android applications when platform-specific capabilities are needed. Most of our mobile projects are companion apps to larger backend systems.

Can you integrate with our existing systems? +

Integration is one of our core strengths. We have experience connecting with ERPs (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), CRMs (Salesforce, HubSpot), warehouse management systems, payment processors, shipping carriers, and hundreds of third-party APIs. If it has an API or database, we can integrate with it.

How do you ensure code quality? +

We follow a rigorous quality process: code reviews for every change, automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end), continuous integration/deployment pipelines, static analysis tools, and regular security audits. We also document architecture decisions so your team can maintain the system long-term.

AI & Automation

Is my business ready for AI? +

The key prerequisite is data. If your business generates data — transactions, customer interactions, operational logs, documents — there are likely valuable AI opportunities. We offer an AI Readiness Assessment where we evaluate your data quality, volume, and infrastructure, then identify the highest-ROI use cases. Many businesses start with simpler automation before moving to AI.

What kind of AI solutions do you build? +

We build practical AI solutions: predictive analytics (demand forecasting, churn prediction), natural language processing (document extraction, chatbots, classification), computer vision (quality inspection, document OCR), recommendation engines, and process optimization models. We focus on solutions that deliver measurable business value, not AI for its own sake.

How much does AI integration cost? +

Costs vary significantly based on complexity. A simple automation using existing AI APIs (like document extraction or classification) might start at $15,000–30,000. A custom machine learning model with training, integration, and monitoring typically ranges from $50,000–150,000. We always start with a scoped assessment so you know the investment before committing.

What is the difference between automation and AI? +

Automation follows predefined rules: "when X happens, do Y." It's predictable and works well for structured, repetitive tasks. AI involves systems that learn from data and make decisions in ambiguous situations. In practice, the best solutions combine both: automation for the 80% that follows clear rules, and AI for the 20% that requires judgment.

Cloud & Infrastructure

Should we move to the cloud? +

For most businesses, yes — but the "how" matters more than the "whether." Cloud migration reduces infrastructure costs, improves scalability, and accelerates development. However, a poorly planned migration can increase costs and create new problems. We start with an assessment of your current infrastructure, workloads, and compliance requirements to build a migration strategy that makes financial sense.

Which cloud provider do you recommend? +

We are vendor-agnostic and have expertise across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. The best choice depends on your existing technology stack, compliance requirements, budget, and specific workload characteristics. We often see AWS as the default for most workloads, Azure for Microsoft-heavy environments, and GCP for data/ML-intensive projects.

How do you handle data security and compliance? +

Security is built into every phase of our projects. We implement encryption at rest and in transit, role-based access controls, audit logging, and regular vulnerability scanning. For regulated industries like insurance, we ensure compliance with GDPR, local data protection laws, and industry-specific regulations. We can also support SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA requirements.

Industry-Specific

What experience do you have in logistics? +

We've built fleet tracking systems, warehouse management solutions, route optimization tools, and carrier integration platforms for logistics companies. Our logistics projects have involved real-time GPS tracking, EDI document processing, customs documentation automation, and last-mile delivery optimization.

What experience do you have in insurance? +

We've developed policy administration systems, claims processing workflows, underwriting decision support tools, and customer self-service portals for insurance companies. Our work has included automated fraud detection, regulatory reporting systems, and integration with actuarial tools.

Can you work in other industries besides logistics, insurance, and retail? +

Absolutely. While logistics, insurance, and retail are where we have the deepest domain expertise, our core capabilities — custom software development, AI integration, automation, and cloud solutions — apply across industries. We've also worked with clients in manufacturing, healthcare, and financial services.
